(Ferguson, MO) – Soul Artist Brian Owens, in partnership with Sterling Bank, presents “The Soul of Ferguson Community Festival” on Sunday, September 6, 2015.
The free event, supported by The Nine Network of Public Media, St. Louis Public Radio, Ferguson Heights Church of Christ, Maryville University and Grace Hill, is offering residents an “artistic experience with a profound social impact”. The festival will bring together people from many neighborhoods and diverse backgrounds into a concert space in celebration of community, hope, peace and music to enhance our sense of community and foster healing.
“The Soul of Ferguson Community Festival is all about providing a soundtrack for hope and celebrating our commitment to peace and healing,” said Brian Owens, a Ferguson native whose vision made the concert a reality. “We are excited to once again offer this free event to the entire St. Louis region, and hope everyone come and have a good time,” Owens added.

The event will be hosted by On-Air Personality, Jade Harell as organizers plan for a day of food, fun and entertainment. Performances will include Brian Owens, God’s Chosen, Sophia Nicole, Peter Mayer, The 442s, Adam Maness, Peter Martin and Courage Counts. 50 percent of all food proceeds will support the Ferguson Youth Initiative organization as they build awareness and push for community commitments towards empowering our youth.
